Stop Grilling The Planet
Industrial animal agriculture sits at the core of our environmental crisis. These industries consume more than half of the world’s land, the majority of its freshwater, and produce more greenhouse gases than the entire transportation sector.
This campaign highlighted the environmental consequences — from pollution and deforestation to biodiversity loss — and underscored how the current system still fails to feed the world, with one in eight people going hungry each night.
Eat For The Planet demonstrated how shifting toward plant-based food can create meaningful impact. If every person in the U.S. ate plant-based, we could cut our food-related carbon footprint in half, save around 200,000 gallons of water per year, and redirect enough grain to feed roughly two billion people.
The campaign encouraged New Yorkers to do their part, one Plantega sandwich at a time, and join the movement to #StopGrillingThePlanet.
