About the Role

As Plantega’s Social Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission: making plant-based food effortlessly accessible via New York's iconic bodegas. We are looking for a creative and analytical individual who will be responsible for creating and executing a dynamic social media strategy that elevates the Plantega brand across various platforms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Account Management: Manage and expand Plantega's social media presence on platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a detailed content calendar to manage posts across different platforms, ensuring a cohesive brand message.

  • Strategy Development: Formulate and refine Plantega’s social media strategy to increase visibility, engagement, and growth.

  • Content Creation: Create and design engaging social media content that aligns with Plantega's mission, offerings, and partner relationships.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key metrics like audience engagement and impressions to develop an effective posting schedule.

  • Brand Partnership Value: Ensure ongoing value and visibility for brand partners collaborating with Plantega.

  • Influencer Collaborations: Build and nurture relationships with influencers in the plant-based food space; coordinate collaborations and campaigns to broaden our reach and engagement.

  • Content Oversight: Oversee and enhance social content produced by Plantega influencers and contractors.

  • Event Participation: Attend various events and create live social media content to engage our audience in real-time.

  • Design Support: Provide design support for promotions and events to ensure a cohesive brand representation.

  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest social media trends across platforms and integrate insights into our strategy.

  • Community Engagement: Respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments in a timely manner.

  • Feedback Analysis: Collect and report on customer feedback and online reviews, and propose improvements based on findings.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced: 2-3 years of social media management experience.

  • Creative: Skilled in visual storytelling and translating brand identity into compelling visuals and narratives

  • Trend Spotter: Ability to identify and integrate emerging cultural, social, and digital trends into content strategies.

  • Communicative: Effective at articulating ideas and working well in team-oriented settings.

  • Passionate: Understanding of NYC bodega culture and enthusiastic about the future of plant-based food.

  • Adaptable: Able to thrive in the dynamic environment of a startup.

  • Local: Familiar with NYC’s various boroughs and the local culture.

  • Mobile: Willing to travel frequently within the city.

  • Preferred: Previous experience or a solid understanding of the plant-based food sector is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: This position is based in NYC.

Experience level:

  • 2 - 3 years

Base Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000 per year
